Fighting and Armies

Now obviously a warriors orochi forum will be in built around fighting, we all know how people god mode in fighting. Now to set the record straight as a good little forum we are including the feature to have armies, yes people you get your own little minions of destruction... In this guide i will explain to you the mechanics of fighting with armies.

Spoiler:

In the above you saw the advantage of morale in any battle, you saw how bob pirate out maneuvered the larger force and defeated them, this goes to show that not all battles are decided through numbers. Now i will describe to you how morale works. Each battle should start off with a few things listed, how many troops each side has, and the morale of each army. Each army starts out with a basic 5-5 morale, that means each side is equal in morale, when it starts like this each side's troops are equally matched and wont give up. Morale can be gained or dropped in many ways, as seen above you can use a strategy, its a way to drastically drop morale as in the example from the fire attack the morale would have went from 3-7 (since the mega force had the advantage of numbers) to 9-1. Morale works in different ways, having a larger combined force then the enemy makes the morale of your army up by two and the morale of their army drop by two. Each strategy has different morale effects and it will have drastic changes to the battle. As seen above they used a fire attack on the enemy main camp, this itself would only drop two points but now they had the enemy surrounded and their main camp was taken. In any instance if this is to ever happen, (although this shouldn't be abused) the morale will automatically go to 9-1 , 1-9. Other stratagems will be made by the people who play as strategists.

In any case most battles will be settled in one on one duels with the opposing leader of the battle, usually the leaders of a battle will fight their way to the middle, it takes a minimum of 2 battle posts to get to the dueling area, this gives plenty of time to use strategy and kill off some enemy troops for the hell of it. When in battle the two officers or leaders will battle each other until death or capture, there is a slight chance of retreat during a duel but when a retreat is initiated the duel is over and all orders will be focused on the retreating officer. While dueling the officers are placed in a small area secluded from the rest of the battle (much like the dueling system from dw 4) in this the officers will battle. If both officers agree to the terms of the battle their might be a set time limit for the battle ranging from 2 to 10 posts each. When in danger each person can call on an allied officer to intervene and take his place in the battle, this is a rather dirty and underhanded tactic but you know what they say, "Honor means nothing to the dead."

And now to the most fun part that everyone loves, Musou. Every officer is capable of a musou attack, in the original games you had to hack and slash to fill a musou meter that would gradually raise if your health was low. In here we deal with musou a little differently, musou enables an incredibly strong an attack from the user that is most usually making them invulnerable while they are attacking with it. To gain a musou attack you must either land a solid hit on an enemy officer (no god moding), do a successful strategy, or kill 100 of the enemy troops yourself, (remember that your human and humans have limits attacking...except for lu bu XD) now these may seem hard but you must realize that you gain an invulnerable powerful attack. When a person is able to use a musou attack he may instead store it and get what we call a "Musou token." These can be used to drastically power up your character during battle or if saved till after the battle, increase the overall power of your character. (Note that you may only store one musou token per battle.)

In a battle those who get to go first depends on the situation of the battle, in most cases the attacker will always go first, but if there's a time where the defending party knows there's a attack coming they will be able to post first and prepare defense's. Whether the defenders know is a topic discussed between the attacker and defender. In a battle for a enemy homeland of a empire the defenders will always have more benefits then the attackers, the defenders will automatically know that the attackers are coming, the defenders know the terrain better and will be an overall harder fight for the attacking force, although killing the enemy leader of a faction doesn't necessarily kill the faction, the next in line to become leader (the most fitting) shall take command of the recently deceased commanders army and territory, the only true way to kill a entire faction is to kill all of its officers.

In order to fully take over a territory fully, you must launch a total of five attacks on a single area, when the area is fully taken over make a request and give a link to each battle, a admin will move the appropriate territory.
